Julia Millay Walsh | October 6, 2011 12:15 pmWhile I admittedly lined up a few times for bubbly at the Domaine Chandon table at Rue magazine's recent anniversary party at H.D. Buttercup, my favorite cocktail offered at the fashion-forward fête was served by these dashing bartenders: "the Hemingway," which is made with Batiste Rhum Agricole, imported by local, San-Quentin-based St. Barts Spirit Company. From here on out, you'll be schooled in the mixing of delectable drinks with recipes from some of San Francisco's best bartenders!Read More

Nancy Einhart | July 7, 2011 1:25 pmI went to Bar Agricole in search of a perfect old fashioned, and I also discovered a hidden al fresco drinking gem. Surprising, given its industrial SOMA surroundings, but nothing about this Italian-inspired, cocktail-shaking, eco-focused, gallery-like space is expected.
Bar Agricole takes reservations for dinner (highly recommended), but for now, the chic concrete tables in its courtyard are first-come, first-served and for drinking only; order at the bar and linger as long as you'd like.Read More
