It was a rare chance to see the exquisite booths before the crowds arrive and get a glimpse of the preparations for tonight's grand gala benefit, which were well under way. Podos and Jeffers introduced us to a few key antiques dealers and galleries to get a feel for the range of the event; the furniture and decorative fine art at this year's show truly span centuries and styles, and there are dealers visiting from all over the world.</p> <p>Since you all couldn't make it to the preview, I thought I'd bring it here to the web. Come take a peek at some booths that Podos and Jeffers pointed out to us, as well as a few more favorites of mine. The show runs this Thursday through Saturday at Fort Mason's Festival Pavilion, and general admission tickets are $18 each, so be sure to see it all in person, as well! All items will be priced to sell, and she suggests emailing hommesf@gmail.com for best prices. In addition to the items available online, there are also many textiles, small accessories, and photography pieces on sale in the shop.</p> <p></p> <p>From investment pieces like the framed 1970s <a href="http://homme.1stdibs.com/store/furniture_item_detail.php?id=461328" target="_blank">photograph by Napa County native Terence Ford</a> (brother of Harrison Ford), which rings up at $1,050, to trendy treasures like the <a href="http://homme.1stdibs.com/store/furniture_item_detail.php?id=529205" target="_blank">laminated animal print dishes</a> from Sister Parish Design ($20-$65), you can treat yourself to a little somethin' or, well, a big somethin'.</p> <p>Michelle plans to reopen a public-ready space in the Spring.
