Review of Shellac Manicure at Pinkies Nail Salon
Beauty Beat: Putting Pinkies Shellac Manicure to the Test

I love having my nails done, but I'm lucky if i make it out of the salon — much less a whole week — without chipping. At first, the famous CND Shellac manicure sounded too good to be true. Available in the Bay Area at Pinkies Nail Salons (1447 & 1501 20th St., 415-401-6264; 177 Main St., Los Altos, 650-941-5600; 1129 Howard Ave. Burlingame, 650-342-0800), the gel-based base coat, polish, and top coat don't need drying time and supposedly last for 14 days.
We headed to Pinkies to test out the manicure and see how it holds up to daily wear and tear. Watch our video to find out how it fared. Convinced? In March, CND will introduce 12 more Shellac nail polish colors.

Post a CommentAlthough Shellac is great from long lasting color when you are headed out of town, it peels layers off your nails when you take it off. After two Shellac treatments, my poor nails were so paper thin they wouldn't chip, they would tear off each time I hit them against something.
Iniazi, Thanks for the comment on Shellac nail polish. I am going to Pinkies Nail Salon soon and thist is good to know.
How did you take the shellac varnish of?? If your peeled it then of course it will damade your nails this would happen even with a normal nail vrnish! you have to have special wipes in order to remove it!!
