The Marina folk who've been down on Reed & Greenough's strict dress code now have a little more incentive to slip on their wingtips: the upscale cocktail lounge (3251 Scott St., 415-290-7377) has launched a bar menu of cheese plates and spreads, created exclusively for the bar by the chef at North Beach hot spot 15 Romolo (15 Romolo Pl., 415-398-1359). The locally crafted canapes feature a spread served in a jar with baked crostinis and an option of white bean and pecorina, chicken liver mousse, or smoked trout. Cheese plates are accompanied by rosemary, truffle-roasted almonds, handpicked and brine-cured Cerignola olives, and fresh seasonal fruit, and include cheeses like Fromager D'Affinois, Pecorino Crotonese, and Cablanca Goat Gouda.
